Often an overlooked option for many students is joining the workforce right after high school.  Many employers have positions to fill and are providing great incentives for new graduates to join their teams. Let’s look at the Pros and Cons on taking a job after high school:

Pros:

• You’ll be able to earn money by working, which will give you a sense of independence and confidence
• Get some valuable experience
• Gives you time to figure out your future, which might even be where you are working
• Many employers offer tuition reimbursement, if you decide to continue your education after working for a while

Cons:

• Statistically, those with a college degree earn more money in the long run and are less likely to experience unemployment, but that might be changing
